Hi Ed, any idea what's going on with this Tiger disqualification thing! Cheers Ed. {Ed023's Note - He hasn't been disqualified, he got a 2 stroke penalty for dropping the ball in the incorrect spot after going in the water on 15. Very stupid mistake from him. I wonder will he regret come tomorrow night}

any one got a live link for the masters please?
25 Mar 2013 18:38:37
Well well, Tiger back to number 1. And Rory still not playing well, I guess Rory chokes under pressure? Masters looming and Tiger Thriving. Looks like cementing with the 1st major of the year also. Lovin it. Would love to see Tiger win the Masters & eclipse Jack's record of 18 majors. However I wonder if the same people will moan about Tiger being current World No 1 who criticised the rankings when Lee W & Luke D were No1. THe argument was that you shouldn't be No 1 without Major success. Appreciate Tiger has won quite a few! but not since 2008 so those wins have no baring on his current raking. personally I think he is still the best in the worl as he's about the only guy out there who wins when not at his best. true legend. What do you mean not playing well he got a T8 at doral and finished with a 65

was mcilroys toothache story a cover up for embarassment or was he actually in pain. hmmmmm My honest opinion is that Rory has been built up so much by people like Colin Montgomery to the point that if he plays bad he spits the dummy out, the uk media are as always completely blind, Rory is good but there have been far better players down the years and that includes the guy Rory has chasing him close, a true legend Tiger. I think he broke a tooth eating a bit of humble pie my friend. Interesting times with toys being thrown from the pram and tiger ready to pounce. My opinion is that although he won 3 times last year his swing was not very good, god knows what was keeping it together and now after the winter his swing has collapsed. it has nothing to do with the clubs his swing has not been the same since the 2012 Honda classic. but having said that he will win a major this year he is too good not to

seeing Rory have a good season is great, but I'm thinking tiger is getting stronger all the time and will reclaim number 1 spot sooner rather than later, what's your thoughts ed? {Ed001's Note - I am not convinced Tiger will ever get back to what he was, I don't think he has the same desire he had.} Hi ed, he may never get back to what he was, but that's not what I asked mate, no human could ever get to where he was at his prime, but the question was do you think he will reclaim the number 1 spot? Me thinks yes. {Ed001's Note - I was meaning that I don't think he will ever get back to being number 1.} Well, me again, now he is number 2 and Rory is faking pain because he cannot use his Nike equipment the way he hoped to, so ed the question is not will tiger reclaim number 1 it is when he does, the masters is exactly when. Nearly right but Tiger got there a little earlier than you predicted! Although I thought Rory's club change was badly timed (only 1 way to head when you are No1) it's too early to blame this for his recent poor form. Look how he started 2012, very badly too. However, by making the change it simply added more pressure to be successful and I blame greed (whether that be his own or his advisors). Anyway I do hope he recaptures his form as I would love to see him & Tiger battling together, unfortunately when Micholson was Tigers main rival there weren't many occasions where they came down the stretch fighting it out together. Can't wait for the Masters.

The Lion of Medinah - Ian Poulter He would be my vote for SPOTY. Did you see Westwoods comment about the selection criteria being top 9, 2 wildcards and Poulter for the next cups. Great night watching it.

Looking forward to watching my brother Danny claiming hopefully his second victory at the Swiss open as my mums there watching him so cmon Danny and Eds what is your opinion of him as a golfer also as a Liverpool family very excited about the transfer rumours {Ed023's Note - Very good young player, who with a win this week will get into top 100 and that will be huge for him. I'd like to see him win as he is a player I like.} Did he win?

what is everyones opinion on rory mcilroy. He seems to be a nice guy but in america they think hes a brat but maybe thats because rickie fowler has not become the same player as rory and they are jealous of him, anyway i just wanted your opinion.plz reply {Ed023's Note - Anytime I have seen him play in person he came off as a nice lad, signing autographs no problem. I got a autograph off him too lol.
The home support was out in full for Fowler last night to win his 1st title. IMO I think he is loved in the States, just go back to last year when he won the Us Open and the support he got was amazing.} Yeah it was great for rickie could be rivalry for years to come
22 Apr 2012 19:09:35
Ed looks like your man kucher could have bottle problems, seems to play better when no pressure is on him. {Ed023's Note - Agree 100 percent, when he got a share of the lead at the masters his tee shot on the 16th was terrible that made him bogey. I would love him to get past this 'bottling' because he is a nice guy and deserves more for his talent} Chance for kucher to put his bottle problems behind him this weekend ed, I've backed Zach Johnson at 13/2 each way, 1/4 first 4 can't see hum being out a place with the players around the lead, any thoughts ed?
10 Apr 2012 16:14:43
Hi ed023, think Jim furyk ew this week looks a bet. {Ed023's Note - Yup, didn't do to badly last week. I fancy Kucher myself - one of the golfers I have taken a liken to this year} Think furyk will be my last golf bet ed, seems to be a bit of a mugs game. {Ed023's Note - You gotta take the good with the bad mate}

For anyone interested in buying a nice, stand-out driver, which will also help raise money for Charity...you will be able to purchase Bubba Watson's Pink PING Driver from the PING website from June 1st, for around £270. I WANT IT! Haha!

{Ed023's Note - Everyone looking forward to the Masters this week? Post your thoughts on who you think will win the green jacket this week; Woods, Mcilroy, Mickelson, Westwood, Donald or will there be a surprise come out of the pack? Let me know your thoughts} Think tiger will be hard to beat, Justin rose EW.

Hey guys.. Watching final day of pga tour, i think tiger is going to win and i am happy for him but dont u think mcdowell deserves this too? Pls reply and tell me what u think
13 Mar 2012 04:55:40
OK BARE WITH ME CAUSE THIS IS MY FIRST TIME ON THE GOLF PAGE ON THIS RUMOR WEB SITE AND I GOT SOMETHING TO GET OFF MY CHEST
ITS ABOUT THE GREAT TIGER WOODS (HA)
tiger was clearly not going to be close to winning the tournament over the weekend so (yeah a minor injury) he withdrew from the tournament cause he knew he would get talked about more and he has
tiger uses the media to be happy cause he hasnt won (i think only 1 time) in the last (around) 2 years and usually someone that hasnt won in that long doesnt get much media attention but with tiger its a different story cause hes the BEST IN THE WORLD and he uses the media to get sympathy
MCILROY JUST BECAME #1 IN THE WORLD BUT THE MEDIA HAS TALKED ABOUT TIGER MORE SINCE THEN AND WONDER IS MCILROY BETTER THEN TIGER (WELL AT THE SAME AGE....NO...BUT NOW HE IS)
woods is not the same golfer and we all know it and he knows it but he dont care cause hes the famous golfer that has alot of fans and followers
he notices hes not going to win and he withdraws due to an injury
he recently had his best 1st round score of 62... anyone would be happy with that score but tiger always finds a way to look at the bad side:
-OH I MISSED A FEW EASY SHOTS
-OH IT WASNT GOOD ENOUGH TO WIN
-OH I MESSED UP ON A GOOD BIRDIE PUTT
then he asked when he placed 2nd place (i believe it was when rory became #1) and a reporter asked a good questions:
"DID RORY WIN OR DID YOU LOSE?"
he responded oh i lost and i shouldve made the easy shots but it couldnt get in the right spot to get the shots needed to win and i lost cause of bad putting
but he didnt congratulate rory for the win (he shook his hand but he was rude throughout the end)
---------------------------------------------------
I CANT STAND TIGER AND NEVER WILL CAUSE HES A EMPTY TANK OF HIS OLD SELF AND HE WISHES HIS PERSONAL LIFE DIDNT GET INVOLVED AND HE CHEATED ON PERHAPS THE HOTTEST WOMEN INVOLVED WITH SPORTS (ATHLETE OR MARRIAGE)
---------------------------------------------------
THE 5 GOOD GOLFERS I LIKE NOW:
- RORY MCILROY
- BUBBA WATSON
- PHIL MICKELSON
- JASON DAY
- RICKIE FOWLER
(A FEW OTHERS BUT THESE ARE MY 5 FAVORITE) He's not happy when he doesn't win because he's a perfectionist. Tiger will be back, probably not to his dominating best but he will be back and will win more majors Told u tigers comin bk. Tiger for the us open next week
06 Feb 2012 15:11:26
I had Ben Crane last night in the Phoenix Open. Very unlucky in the end but happy for Kyle Stanley over last weeks final round.
Pebble Beach this week and I think Dustin Johnson is a good bet each way.
And in the Dubai Dessert Classic Noh looks a nice bet also each way.

11 Jan 2012 12:50:23
has anybody ever beat tiger woods on xbox ?
08 Jan 2012 02:08:07
Has anyone ever had a hole in one? Nope
i've come close (about 3 inches) to one before (when i was playing badly weirdly) Funnily enough I've had 2..........and both times I was playing absolutely terribly, the rest of the rounds might aswell have been written off! Guy at my golf course (bellshill) got two holes in one in the same round was in the paper, with some crazy odds about the chances on doing it

I tool up golf this year and have been doing ok. At first I was horrible with the driver but I got a new driver n it seemed to sort it out(or so I thot). Now just about everytime I hit my driver it takes off amazing( iv learned not to get excited with this now lol) and looks like it's going straight down the middle, then at the last second it curves wildly right. Any tips on how to sort this out? - try and rotate more as soon as contact with the ball is made (practice on the range)
- self diagnosis, go on the range and hit a normal driver, then try different swings (in to out, one path, double path) try different ball position, try different tee heights, etc.
- try to eliminate the lower body (legs) rotation on the back swing. keep the legs just about still but still bend the left knee, just make sure its your hips, shoulders and upper chest moving. Don't take swing tips from unqualified golfers. Go and see a PGA registered pro (and no I'm not one myself). There acn be various different reasons casuing the same result and you are only likely to make it worse by trying tips from well intentioned contributors. It may even simply be the set up of the club that doesn't suit your own swing. Have a lesson and then practice is the only real long term solution until such time as you get to know the workings of your own golf swing. Hey, if having a full time swing coach is good enough for Tiger! Iv tried loads, moving the ball forward, moving it back in my stance, legs further apart, closer together, slowing my swing down, turning the clubhead a bit. But it always the same lol. The missusbis getting me a couple of lessons for Xmas, hopefully they will make an improvement. Cheers guys Curves wildly right?
is this something you can manage (ie tee up and aim down the left) or is it something a lot more (where you're aiming at the left danger to bring it back round)
of course, every week is different
you can be swinging brilliantly one week, and then do rubbish the next week (although if you're not hitting 100s of balls per day [pros], then you will change slightly over the course of a week) Book A lesson with PRO go back and practice 2wks book another lesson stick with PRO dont listen to all free advice only make things worse get pro to video you easier to see what doing wrong by playing it back

So Tiger Woods wins one tournament and is made favourite for all the Majors next year? How the hell do they work that out? Money He's that good! He untouchable when on form and he's slowly finding that form!
Corkpoolred He looked good in australia (both the president's cup and the australian open)
i thought back then that his next win was just around the corner
he also believes that his swing has returned (giving him more power), leading to confidence (we all know what confidence does to you)
i'll back him to go close in a couple of majors next year (maybe not win, but a couple of top 5s for sure)

Anyone played at Halesowen Golf Course near Birmingham? I played there today and I swear its the hilliest course ever. The ball is never level with your feet. Nice course though.
Welsh Dragon Staffpeffer golf course near Inverness is probably hillier you pretty much tee off mountains. The first hole biggest drop in European golf or something like that

Loch lomand by a mile Pine valley or in terms of looks, wolf creek. Nefyn in wales The National in Belek, Turkey. Tenby, west wales. proper links course. Portstewart strand course

Need a fairway hybrid 19/21*.usualy end up about ten over any suggestions would b appreciated. Ty I had a Benross one and it was good but I can't find a website with it on to show you. I don't think they sell any of them one's anymore. I have got a Nike one at the moment and it's pretty good.
19 Nov 2011 23:42:18
has anyone thought about having a crack at that course in australia? The one that takes you four days or so to drive across? Would be good for the experience
but trekking through 1000km of desert to play 18 holes (of which is re-teeing the ball up to prevent club damage) isn't really my cup of tea
if you do go to australia, the northern NSW coast has some good courses (and isn't too bad this time of year... ~27/28C)

Whats the best make to get custom fitted golf clubs with? I swear by Callaway pesonally, but you can try out the designs before you get your's made. Just check out a few and get whats comfortable Custom fitting is not about manufaturer anymore - find the club head you prefer and go and get custom fitted for the shafts and the lie of the club only - the only essential part of custom fit is choice of shaft - do not get sucked into Project X etc etc - stand your ground with the pro who custom fits you especially if hitting it off a concrete based range mat. The club will bounce and generally make you feel like your hitting it great.
Take your time, make two visits at least and always take your current clubs as a comparison.
I played Scr + 1 for 10 years and got custom fitted by an expert who hd never seen me play before Callaway X Tour Project x 6.0 was his call - I have used True Temper Gold R400's for 15 years and have been fitted numerous times with the same results.
BOILED ONIONS
Take your time and think hard before you commit.

The dry summer we had in the American southeast has made it so only Bermuda grass could survive. The old bentgrass fairways have taken quite a lick.(I made that all up but thought it sounded rather proffesional)
